Terms of Service (SSLMON)

Last Updated: 2025-11-01

Welcome to SSLMON (“we”, “our”, “us”). By using our websites sslmon.co or sslmon.net (“Services”), you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Overview of the Service

SSLMON provides tools to:

  • Check and validate SSL/TLS certificates
  • View expiry dates, issuer details, and certificate health
  • Receive SSL expiry alerts
  • Access free SSL issuance options through third-party providers (e.g., DigiCert, ZeroSSL)

2. Eligibility

To use our Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate and lawful information
  • Use the Services in compliance with applicable laws

3. Account Registration

When you create an account, you agree to provide a valid email address, keep your login credentials secure, and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not responsible for any loss due to unauthorized account access.

4. Use of the Service

You agree not to:

  • Misuse the platform
  • Perform harmful, illegal, or abusive actions
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits or automated protections
  • Use our system to check domains you do not own or manage without permission
  • Scrape, copy, reverse-engineer, or resell the service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for misuse.

5. SSL Certificate Checks & Monitoring

You understand that:

  • We check SSL certificates using publicly available domain information
  • SSL data is retrieved in real-time from the domain you provide
  • We do NOT modify, alter, or interact with your web server or SSL configuration

You are solely responsible for maintaining your own SSL certificates.

6. Email Notifications

By registering, you agree to receive transactional emails, including sign-up confirmation, sign-in notifications, and SSL expiration alerts. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt-in.

7. Third-Party SSL Providers

SSLMON integrates with third-party SSL providers (e.g., DigiCert, ZeroSSL) to offer free 90-day SSL certificates. We do not issue the certificates ourselves, do not guarantee SSL approval or issuance, and are not responsible for third-party outages or failures. Your use of third-party SSL services is subject to their terms.

8. Data Accuracy & Limitations

Our SSL results depend on the accuracy of publicly accessible certificate data. We do not guarantee accuracy or completeness of SSL details, that alerts will always arrive on time, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. SSLMON is provided “as is”.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SSLMON is not liable for website downtime caused by SSL expiry, lost profits, revenue, or business opportunities, data loss, delayed alerts, or third-party SSL provider failures. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse or overload the service, or are involved in fraudulent activities. You may delete your account at any time.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated terms.
